Step 1, get a baseline on the computers performance with the BenchMark 3 Mastercam file.

Step 2, clean the computer case. Vacuum or compressed air to remove dust build up.

Step 3, turn off as many background processes as possible.

Step 3, prevent unneeded programs and processes from loading.

Step 4, free up disk space, archive or remove old items, clean out your Recycle Bin.

Step 5, uninstall unneeded programs. Use Revo Unistaller to get all program items.

Step 6, nuclear option, fresh install of Windows. Make sure you have important files backed up somewhere. If you use a software license for Mastercam, deactivate before nuking, reactivate once new software is installed.

Step 7, dig deeper into system performance using HWiNFO to monitor system temps during the bench mark to see if thermally throttling is occurring. 

If temps are high and the system is older, reapplication of thermal paste may fix. If the cpu cooler is not adequate, cheap upgrades are an easy fix. Noktua makes great fans. Any of the Artic thermal pastes are reliable options.

Step 8, adjust Mastercam multithread options.

Step 9, try a light overclock of the CPU....which we will save for another video, this one is long enough as is!

If your computer is eating this benchmark 3_0 for lunch, please try my new torture test Benchmark 4_0. This should be a much bigger stress test and almost certainly take your machine to its limit. It get my CPU into temp throttle territory, let me know if yours does as well.
