New in Mastercam 2019 - Deburr Part 2

Having a look at the new Deburr Toolpath in Mastercam 2019. Part 2 of 2.

The new features in Mastercam 2019 include the new Deburr toolpath which is available for Multiaxis. Deburr is used to break edges for 3-to-5 axis tool motion, and to remove burrs. It can be used with Ball end mills and Lollipop with undercut tools.

In this video, we will again use the 1/4" Ball Endmill and create a full 5 axis strategy this time.

The deburring toolpath needs to avoid the bottom face of this part as I am assuming that the work holding will make that face inaccessible, no need to drive this tool into the vise on a sample file right!?  Also, in the 5 axis strategy toolpath, we have options to control the type of tilting motion, the range of tilting motion, the type of clearance,  and collision checking and avoidance as well.

Again, many of these setting can be set to Automatic to let Mastercam decide on the required motion. All in, making you look like a 5 axis pro even though this may be one of your first 5 axis toolpaths.

With this new toolpath you will definitely be impressing your boss with the complex motion you can create in a short amount of time.

If you missed the first video in this series, it can be found here...
