Mastercam Dark Mode

Put those sunglasses away and turn on Mastercam Dark Mode!

Many of today's popular software have built in Dark Mode switches. Whether you're using Google Chrome, Microsoft Word, Photoshop, Facebook, YouTube, etc. they all have an easy switch to Dark Mode. The draw back being that you are stuck with their color options for their Dark Mode.

Now there isn't an all encompassing switch in Mastercam to make the interface darker. Which is fine as there are still options to change to a dark mode feel. There are just a couple steps to do so.

First, changing the background color. This is done in the Configuration. You can leave the default gradient option or disable that and go with a single dark color. Black is good but I find pure black can be a bit too dark so I usually use a custom color that is just a tad lighter.

Second, the menu items. This can be done through the Theme setting. Not too many options here but at least there is a Dark Grey that seems to work nicely.

Lastly, the managers. Here we can again select a background color. I will suggest a slightly lighter color than black. Text and line colors can be chosen as well.

The benefit to these individual customizations is you have much more control over the resulting Dark Mode than just a switch that applies default colors.
