Voice Programming Mastercam

Hey Siri, program Mastercam for me!

Voice programming of Mastercam? Is this really possible? Well it's 2021 so the answer has to be yes! In this video I'll show you a couple techniques to make this possible.

Yes, this is real and no movie magic is used in the creation of the above video. You can integrate Siri to command a tool called Stream Deck which can than interact with Mastercam. There really is no limit on what you can do with this tool. You can do basic commands such as change views. You can do the more complex like call chooks or scripts or even apply multiple keyboard shortcut commands.

Now, you don't have to use voice control. Yes, its cool that you can. Probably not a great idea specially if you have coworkers beside you who don't want to hear you talking to Siri all day haha.

The key to all this is the Stream Deck. You can buy a stand alone unit but they are a bit pricey if you are just looking to experiment. I would suggest trying Stream Deck mobile which is not only very inexpensive, but it is as functional as the stand alone units....plus you get Siri if you are using an iPhone or iPad. Stream Deck mobile is a subscription product, I think around 2-3 dollars a month depending on where you are. But, you also get the first month free. Plenty of time to figure out if you like it or not.

Just an FYI, no, I do not get a kick back from Stream Deck. I wish I did. I'm just bringing this tool to you all as I think it's pretty cool and I think many will find it useful.

Let me know if you'd like to see a more in depth video discussing hooking some functions up in Mastercam.
